OREANDA-NEWS In Yerevan, one of the protesters died in a tent camp. The cause of death was cardiac arrest, Sputnik Armenia reports with reference to the representative of the Yerevan State Medical University Shushan Danielyan.

«A citizen, whose identity has not been established, was taken by ambulance from one of the tents on France Square to the first university hospital with a diagnosis of cardiac arrest. Resuscitation measures were carried out in the hospital, which, unfortunately, despite all the efforts of the authorities, turned out to be fruitless», Danielyan wrote on social networks.

In Armenia, the protests began at the end of April. Activists demand that Nikol Pashinyan resign amid his readiness to conduct a pragmatic dialogue with Azerbaijan. In recent days, fears have intensified that the protests could escalate into mass riots and become a factor in an acute domestic political crisis.

The opposition announced the creation of an interim government after the departure of the current authorities. During the government hour in parliament on May 4, Armen Rustamyan, a member of the opposition Armenia faction, voiced a demand for the resignation of the Armenian prime minister, who was accused of failing to protect Yerevan's interests, economic problems and concessions on the issue of the status of Karabakh.
