OREANDA-NEWSRussian President Vladimir Putin considers it appropriate to sign at the highest level a treaty of the CIS countries on combating money laundering, financing of terrorism and financing the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. This is stated in the order of the head of state, published on Monday on the official portal of legal information.

"To accept the proposal of the Government of the Russian Federation to sign the agreement of the CIS member states on countering the legalization of proceeds from crime, the financing of terrorism and the financing of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction", the document says. Rosfinmonitoring was given permission during the negotiations on the signing of this agreement to make amendments to its draft that are not of a fundamental nature.

“To consider it expedient to sign the agreement at the highest level”, the President said. Earlier it was reported that this project was previously worked out with other CIS countries.
