OREANDA-NEWS. Russian President Vladimir Putin will pay a working visit to Finland on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at the invitation of President Sauli Niinistö. This is stated in a statement published on Wednesday by the government office.

"President Niinistö and President Putin will hold official talks at the presidential palace. In addition to bilateral relations between Finland and Russia, the presidents will discuss regional and international issues", the statement said. After the discussion, the presidents will hold a joint press conference. The visit will end with dinner at the Sea Fortress of Suomenlinna. The heads of state met for the last time at the Arctic Forum in St. Petersburg in April 2019.

In addition, the President of Mozambique, Filipe Newsi, will visit Russia on August 21-23, during which he intends to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin. This was reported on Wednesday by the Russian media at the embassy of the republic in Moscow.

"President Newsy’s visit to Russia is planned on August 21-23. The main purpose of the visit is to meet with President Putin, but he will also take part in the Russian-Mozambique business forum", the agency’s source said.
