OREANDA-NEWSPolice on Tuesday night used tear gas against demonstrators in Kenosha (Wisconsin, USA) during a protest. Demonstrations began after police fired multiple shots at African American Jacob Blake last Sunday. It is reported by the American television channel CBS.

The confrontation between police and protesters took place during a demonstration near the Kenosha District Court.

The protesters chanted the phrase "No justice, no peace" and the slogans of the Black Lives Matter movement. They threw firecrackers, glass and plastic bottles at the police. In response, the security forces used tear gas and rubber bullets.

After that, the demonstrators started a fire near the courthouse. This time, the police used pepper gas and rubber bullets. The National Guard arrived at the scene.

The riots in Kenosha continue for the second day. The day before, a curfew was imposed in the city from 20:00 (03:00 Moscow time), but this did not stop people from taking to the streets and protesting against police brutality. On Monday, the authorities mobilized 125 National Guard officers. On the previous night, the police also resorted to special means - protesters set fire to cars, broke windows, and clashed with the police.
