OREANDA-NEWS. Russian and Turkish military conducted the sixth joint patrol of the M4 highway section in Idlib province. This was reported on Tuesday at the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of the warring parties.

"In accordance with the agreements between the presidents of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Turkey on March 5, 2020 in Moscow, on April 28, 2020, the next, sixth, joint Russian-Turkish patrol of the M4 highway section in the Idlib de-escalation zone took place", message. The M4 highway connects the cities of Aleppo and Latakia.

According to the Center, two BTR-82A and an armored car "Tiger" were involved in joint patrols from the Russian side. The movement of the joint Russian-Turkish convoy from the air was controlled by unmanned aerial vehicles of the Russian Aerospace Forces. Organization of interaction between the parties was carried out through the Joint Coordination Center.

The first joint Russian-Turkish patrol of a section of this route in the Idlib de-escalation zone took place on March 15, the second on March 23, the third on April 8, the fourth on April 15, and the fifth on April 21.
