OREANDA-NEWS Talks about the seventh package of European Union sanctions against Russia are premature, because it can only be gas, and European countries are not ready for this yet. TASS reports that Russia's Permanent Representative to the European Union Vladimir Chizhov stated this.

According to the diplomat, when the EU imposed the first sanctions, it became clear that it is not a reliable partner for Russia. He added that this does not mean that Moscow will ignore the EU, but today's reality is "hostile."

Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba called on the European Union to immediately adopt a new, seventh package of sanctions against Russia. Last week, Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Raupop said after talks with his Austrian counterpart Alexander Schallenberg that Warsaw proposed that the European Union include all energy and banks of the Russian Federation in the seventh package of anti-Russian sanctions.
