OREANDA-NEWS Two Russians and five foreigners were victims of a storm in the north of the Chalkidiki peninsula in Greece, Tass reports about it.

According to preliminary data, the Russians died as a result of falling trees due to strong winds. Citizens of the Czech Republic and Romania also died in a storm.

As noted, currently in hospitals are another 20 people.

The storm began in Greece on the night from Wednesday to Thursday, July 11th. There were heavy rains on the peninsula, hail was also noticed.

"The Consulate General of Russia checks the message about two dead Russians. We received information that a tree fell on people during a hurricane and two Russian citizens died. It also turns out that there are Russians among the victims," the consulate official said.
