OREANDA-NEWS. Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic again said that official Belgrade will not support Western sanctions against Russia as long as he is the head of state.

When asked by journalists whether Serbia plans to support individual US sanctions against Russian citizens, the Serbian president also answered in the negative.

“As for the inclusion of citizens of Russia and the PRC in the black lists, Serbia did not participate in this, so it would not be a friendly step towards our friends from Russia and China. As long as I am the President of Serbia, there will be no imposition of sanctions by the RF and PRC. I say this in every place, because only a sincere and clear policy can lead Serbia into the future, "Tanyug news agency quoted Vucic as saying.

Vucic said during a visit to Brussels on April 26 that Serbia is ready to coordinate its foreign policy with the EU more, if there are exceptions. Before that, EU High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy Josep Borrell indicated that the European Union calls on Serbia to support him in foreign policy issues, including sanctions.

It is recalled that the Serbian leadership, headed by the president, has repeatedly rejected the possibility of Belgrade's support for Western sanctions against Russia.
