OREANDA-NEWSThe operator of the Slovak section of the Druzhba pipeline, the Transpetrol company, has suspended deliveries of Russian oil due to concerns about the quality of the fuel. This was reported by the Russian media with reference to NHonline.sk.

Later, UkrTransnafta announced the suspension of transit. The company explained its actions by the refusal to accept low-quality oil at the Budkovtse delivery section in Slovakia, as well as the lack of free reservoirs at the Feneshlitke delivery section in Hungary. The Ukrainian company also noted that all losses are borne by the side that has not fulfilled its obligations. 

Earlier it was reported that the Ukrainian oil company Ukrtransnafta (Naftogaz of Ukraine) suspended the transit of oil along the southern branch of the Druzhba pipeline on the Mozyr-Brody section (from Belarus to Slovakia). This is stated in the press service. In "Ukrtransnafta" clarified that the suspension of oil is possible under the agreement on the transportation of oil. According to its conditions, all material losses in the company were laid on the Russian side, “which did not hold back their duties”.

On April 25, it became known that Belarus and Poland suspended the transit of Russian oil via the Druzhba pipeline. Andrei Verigo, Chief Engineer of Gomeltransneft Druzhba OJSC, explained that in Poland and Germany they cannot accept and process oil with such indicators with which it comes to the Adamovo delivery point. Druzhba delivers oil from the Volgouralsk oil and gas region to Eastern European countries. The northern branch goes through Belarus, Poland and Germany, the southern through Ukraine, Slovakia, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Croatia.
