Austria's OMV has Paid for Russian Gas under New Scheme
Earlier, the German energy concern Uniper paid in late May for Russian gas under the new scheme proposed by Moscow; it was made in euros.
Previously, it was reported that the Moldovagaz distribution company is now paying for Russian gas in euros. According to him, Moldovagaz has not received a notice from Gazprom to switch to the payment in rubles, because Russia has not put Moldova on the list of unfriendly countries.
The chairman of the company's board of directors also assured that Chisinau was making all current payments on schedule. Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Spinu said that the republic is in a situation of uncertainty about gas supplies from Russia.
