OREANDA-NEWS British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said he could not imagine how Britain could normalize relations with Russian President Vladimir Putin, RIA Novosti reported, according to Gazeta.ru.

According to Johnson, the world was open for negotiations until Putin "used it to twist the knife in Ukraine." He also added that at the moment there can be no normalization of relations between Kiev and Moscow.

Earlier, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson promised to provide "whatever Sweden demands," including personnel and equipment, in the event of a Russian attack on that country.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he had decided to conduct a military special operation in Ukraine in response to a request for help from the heads of the LNR and DNR.

The goal of the operation was "to protect people who have been subjected to mockery and genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years. The decision to conduct the operation was the reason for new sanctions against Russia by the United States and its allies.
