OREANDA-NEWS The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade in its Telegram channel invited subscribers to come up with a new name for the fast-food restaurant chain McDonald's, which was bought out by a Russian businessman.

The ministry explained that the most creative and interesting options would be given to the new Russian owner.

Later, the Ministry of Industry and Trade reported that the collection of proposals is over and they have collected more than a thousand and a half comments.

On the eve it became known that McDonald's, which officially suspended its work in Russia on March 14, will sell its business in Russia to the current licensee, Siberian businessman Alexander Govor. He will manage a chain of restaurants under the new brand. Govor currently owns the company "GID" and manages 25 McDonald's restaurants in Siberia: in Novosibirsk, Berdsk, Tomsk, Kemerovo, Novokuznetsk, Barnaul and Krasnoyarsk.

Earlier, State Secretary - Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Viktor Evtukhov said that Russian McDonald's is likely to keep the old recipe of dishes.
