Ukraine will Start Supplying Electricity to Moldova on June 4
"Energoatom, Ukraine's largest electricity producer, signed an export contract with the Moldovan state company Energocom (engaged in energy procurement - editor's note)," reads the report.
Under the agreement, Energoatom plans to deliver 85,200 MWh of electric power to Moldova in June at a price of $77 per 1 MWh.
The Ukrainian company considers that owing to the export Energoatom will get an additional source for financing of the PSO.
Earlier, Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Spinu said that Energocom signed a contract to purchase 30% of the electricity required in May from Ukrhydroenergo and the rest from the thermal power plant CJSC Moldavskaya GRES.
