OREANDA-NEWS The European Union has approved an agreement granting Ukraine access to classified data, including satellite images. This was reported in a RIA Novosti report.

It is noted that the initial agreement is for one year with a possibility of extension. It was also announced that information on the details of the agreement was handed over to the post-representatives of the EU countries during the meeting on March 22.

Presumably, this data may contain information on the composition and movements of Russian troops during the special operation in Ukraine.

Earlier, it was reported that America and the EU would tighten existing sanctions against Russia, as well as impose additional restrictions. This was announced by Assistant to the US President for National Security Jake Sullivan. He did not reveal details of the new restrictions.

On February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of a special operation in the Donbass.
