OREANDA-NEWS. The head of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic Denis Pushilin did not rule out that the Kiev authorities would launch a full-scale attack on Donbass.

He said on the air of the Russia 24 TV channel: "Ukraine has such physical capabilities, technical ones too. Ukraine has everything ready for this. Whether that decisive order will be given, which will be disastrous for the whole of Ukraine, we'll see."

Pushilin stressed that the DPR is ready for any development of events. But the chance to stop the military conflict, he said, is "extremely small."

Denis Pushilin said in this regard: “The DPR, as well as the LPR, has done and continues to do the maximum possible so that the conflict was resolved in a political way. Alas, Kiev is set in a completely different direction. Lie, manipulation is all that we see now from the side of Ukraine ".

For almost seven years now, the Ukrainian authorities have been conducting a military operation against the self-proclaimed Luhansk and Donetsk People's Republics, which declared their independence after the coup d'etat in Kiev. According to the latest UN data, about 13 thousand people became victims of the conflict.

Since July last year, a ceasefire has been in effect in Donbass, but the situation has worsened recently: the OSCE reports a significant increase in the number of ceasefire violations, the militias say that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are pulling military equipment to the contact line and using artillery during shelling.
