OREANDA-NEWS  The European court of human rights (ECHR) did not satisfy the request of Kiev on the application of new interim measures in the case of detention of ships of the Ukrainian Navy in the Kerch Strait, said the Russian Ministry of justice.

It is reported that the request of Kiev was based on the information of lawyers and relatives of sailors that three detained crew members need medical care.

Lawyer, specialist in international law Maria Yarmush called the decision of the ECHR is to be expected.

"Now the ECHR is trying to regain its reputation as a fair judicial body and, thus, tries to avoid making conclusions that deliberately violate the law and the rights of one of the country of the dispute," she said in a conversation with RT.

The expert suggested that Ukrainian lawyers will again send claims to the ECHR or apply to other authorities in order to change the justification of the claims.

In her opinion, they make about the lawsuits against Russian media reported.

On the eve of the foreign Ministry spokesman Maria Zakharova said that new provocations in the Kerch Strait will not be allowed, the relevant diplomatic work is underway.

So she commented on the words of the Minister Sergei Lavrov, who said that Kiev is preparing another provocation in the region.
