OREANDA-NEWS Bernardo Alvarez, 62 years old, caught a snake in the municipality of Mangaldan and confirmed to have charmed it. As proof, he raised the cobra to his face and acted like he was going to kiss her. At that moment, the cobra attacked and bit him in the tongue. Alvarez screamed loudly and fell.

By the time the doctors and police came, the man had no pulse. They endeavour to bring Alvarez back to life, but he died on the spot. The snake was killed by angry eyewitnesses.

The Philippine cobra is considered one of the most dangerous snakes in the world. Its venom infects the victim's respiratory system. One bite from this snake can be fatal.
