OREANDA-NEWS. German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock said Russia and Europe with NATO should return to negotiations to avoid a military conflict, Reuters reported.
“My concern is great, but this also means that every millimeter of my own actions should be directed towards dialogue. This means that proposals have been made that are not the basis for our negotiations, that we need to speak together, ”said Berbock.
She pointed to the proposals of the Russian Foreign Ministry on the provision of security guarantees.
“Therefore, in recent days I have emphasized how important it is to return to the negotiating table in the Normandy format, but also to use the opportunity in the NATO-Russia Council to speak together and take care to avoid further escalation, because we are this big crisis in which we are, we can only solve through dialogue, ”concluded Berbock.

On December 17, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs published the draft agreements between Russia and the United States on security guarantees and an agreement on measures to ensure the security of the Russian Federation and NATO member states, which were transferred to the United States on December 15.
