OREANDA-NEWS. Aide to the President of Russia Yuri Ushakov told how the first meeting of Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden as leaders of their countries will take place.

The summit of the leaders of the two countries will begin on June 16 at 13:00 Geneva time (14:00 Moscow time) at the Villa La Grange.

Ushakov clarified that Villa La Grange is actively used by the municipal authorities of Geneva and the federal government - it is located in an excellent location on the shore of the lake and has good conditions for negotiations. There is also a tent for the president's press conference.

First, Putin will be met by the President of Switzerland, then Biden will arrive. After the traditional joint photo session and an introduction from the host, the presidents will proceed to the library.

The talks will consist of three parts - first in a narrow, and then in an expanded format, after which each side will hold a separate press conference.

In the first part, Putin will be accompanied by Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, and Biden will be accompanied by Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.

The Kremlin said that negotiations in a narrow format would begin in the presence of Lavrov and translators. And in the expanded composition they will go through synchronization. Only besides the members of the delegations, there will also be recording attendants.

After the talks, a bilateral meeting between the Russian president and his Swiss counterpart will take place, after which Putin will fly to Russia.
