OREANDA-NEWS US intelligence received information about the death of Hamza bin Laden, the son of former "terrorist number one" Osama bin Laden. This was reported by NBC.

It is still unknown whether the American authorities can confirm his death. Officials did not say where and when bin Laden's son died, or whether the US intelligence agencies had anything to do with it. The White House has not yet commented on this information.

The al-Qaeda terrorist organization (banned in Russia) released Hamza bin Laden's latest public statement in 2018. He threatened Saudi Arabia and called on the inhabitants of the country to revolt.

In February, the United States awarded a reward of up to a million dollars for information that would establish the whereabouts of bin Laden's son.

Hamza bin Laden was born, presumably around 1989. In the summer of 2018, it was reported that he married the daughter of the perpetrator of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack in the United States. American intelligence suggested that after the death of his father, Hamza is preparing for a leadership role in Al Qaeda.

Osama bin Laden, the leader of the al-Qaeda terrorist group, has been on the FBI's most wanted terrorist list since 1998. He was destroyed as a result of the operation of American special forces on the night of May 2, 2011 in a villa in Pakistan's Abbotabad. His body was buried at sea.
