OREANDA-NEWS. The number of cases of new type of coronavirus infection in the world has exceeded 7 million. This is evidenced by the calculations of the Russian media on the basis of official statements by the authorities, as well as the conclusions of experts and the media in countries where there are cases of infection.
According to the latest data, 7,000,046 people were infected, 5.75% of them - 402,804 died. The number of infected people doubled in just over a month, the 3.5 million mark was overcome on May 4.

Brazil came in second place, where, according to the latest information, 685,427 people were infected, 5.44% died. 37 312 of them.
