OREANDA-NEWSA ceasefire agreement between the Libyan National Army (LNA) Khalifa Haftar and the Government of National Accord (PNS) Faiz Saraj will be signed on Monday in Moscow. This was announced on Sunday evening by the Libyan television channel Libya Al Ahrar, the head of the Supreme State Council of Libya, Khaled al-Mishri.

"The signing of this agreement on Monday will be the beginning of the collapse of the army project, it is designed to put an end to all attempts to impose military rule on us and open the way to launching the political process", he said. Al-Mishri also announced his upcoming trip to the Russian Federation, in which he will accompany Saraj.

On Sunday evening, the Libyan information portal Akhbarlibya 24 announced that Haftara and Saraj were waiting on Monday in Moscow. No official information was received regarding the upcoming meeting and the format of possible negotiations. At midnight from Saturday to Sunday, a ceasefire between the parties entered into force as part of the initiative proposed by Presidents of Russia and Turkey Vladimir Putin and Tayyip Erdogan on January 8.
