At the moment, it is not known how Gon, who was under house arrest and under police supervision, was able to leave Japan. Earlier, Kyodo reported that Gon was allegedly taken through a provincial Japanese airport, and then he was transported to Lebanon from Turkey by private plane.

In Japan, in November 2018, the head of Nissan and Renault and the creator of the world's largest alliance Renault — Nissan — Mitsubishi Carlos Gon were arrested. As a result, he lost all posts, and he is also facing a prison and a millionth fine. On April 25, 2019, on his second attempt, he was released from prison on bail.
