OREANDA-NEWS. As reported on December 22 on the official website of the Turkish Ministry of Internal Affairs, due to the coronavirus pandemic and the increase in the number of infected, the Turkish authorities decided to ban entertainment programs in state hotels for the New Year.

Among these restrictions - a ban on New Year's celebrations, including balls, entertainment programs with presenters and musicians, parties, shows and gala dinners in restaurants located at hotels. The authorities also imposed a ban on advertising of such events and musical accompaniment after 22:00 in hotels. Guests will not be allowed to congregate in hotels and restaurants at them.

It is reported that the new restrictions in connection with the epidemic of coronavirus infection in Turkey will be in effect for four days, from December 31 to January 4.

Earlier, in mid-December, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan announced the imposition of a curfew in the country for three days of New Year's holidays. As a result of a difficult epidemiological situation, a curfew was imposed in Turkey on December 1. Local residents and visitors to the country were banned from leaving their homes between 21:00 and 05:00 on weekdays.
