A fire occupies an area of ​​about thousand square meters. People were evacuated. According to preliminary information, one person was injured; he was hospitalized.

The press service of Ukhta administration confirmed Interfax that explosion had occurred. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the fire started at 16:55 Moscow time at the refinery owned by the affiliate of Lukoil company. At 17:08 the first fire and rescue unit arrived in the scene. An interlocutor of RIA Novosti agency reported that 78 people and 18 pieces of equipment are operating at the scene of the accident.
