OREANDA-NEWS. Border service officers of Ukraine will strengthen sections of the border with Russia in the Sumy region with anti-transport ditches. This was reported on the website of the State Border Service of Ukraine.

It is noted that a complex mechanized engineering group has begun work. Using special equipment, the experts dig a ditch and fill a shaft in addition to existing engineering obstacles in the "most threatening directions."

The Ukrainian department noted that usually engineers stop equipping the border with the onset of winter, but in connection with the current "security challenges at the state border" its strengthening continues.

Recently, Western media, as well as in Ukraine, have stated that Russia is allegedly preparing a "large-scale invasion" of Ukraine.

In Russia, such allegations have been repeatedly rejected.

At the same time, on the eve, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that American private military companies are preparing a provocation with chemical components in the Donetsk region.

Shoigu clarified that unidentified chemical components were delivered to the cities of Avdeevka and Krasny Liman to commit provocations. According to the military department, about 120 employees of American companies training Ukrainian special forces are located in the Donetsk region.
