OREANDA-NEWS. Ukraine is upset over the conclusion of the German Ministry of Economy and Energy that the certification of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline does not threaten the security of gas supplies to the European Union. This was stated by Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba, UNIAN reports.

“As for the decision of the German regulator, we are upset. And already there is a position of "Naftogaz" on this issue, that is, directly to the company that is involved in this process. And we will bring our position to the German partners, "Kuleba said, adding that Kiev intends to work to ensure that the decision" is not taken hastily, quickly, without careful analysis and study. "

Earlier, the Ministry of Economy of the Federal Republic of Germany sent to the Federal Grid Agency a conclusion on the certification of Nord Stream 2. The department considered that the pipeline would not pose a danger to the gas supply to Germany and the EU.

The head of Naftogaz of Ukraine, Yuriy Vitrenko, said that the German ministry had published a list of countries with which the relevant consultations were held. “Ukraine is not among these countries. This is very sad, ”Vitrenko said.

According to him, Ukraine is one of the main transit countries for gas to Europe and could tell why the certification of Nord Stream 2 poses a threat to the security of gas supplies.
