OREANDA-NEWS Vietnam welcomes Gazprom's intention to expand cooperation with the Republic in the implementation of hydrocarbon production and processing projects. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam Chin Dinh Zung, taking on Thursday in Hanoi, the Russian delegation led by Deputy Chairman of the Board of PJSC "Gazprom" Vitaly Markelov, said Friday the newspaper Nhan Dan.

The Deputy Head of the Vietnamese Government praised the effectiveness of the projects currently being implemented by the Russian Corporation on the territory of the Republic. He expressed hope that Gazprom will continue to closely coordinate cooperation with the state oil and gas Corporation of Vietnam "Petrovietnam" for the introduction of the latest scientific and technical achievements in the production process, which will help to reduce costs and increase the efficiency of investments in the oil and gas sector. At the same time, Vietnam, as the Deputy Prime Minister assured, "is ready to create the most favorable conditions" for the successful implementation of the projects of the Russian company in its country.

In turn, the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Gazprom thanked the Vietnamese government for supporting the activities of the Russian Corporation in Vietnam. According to him,"Gazprom" is considering the possibility in the coming period to start implementing new investment projects in the oil and gas industry, which will cover the exploration, production, transportation and processing of oil and gas, as well as trade. Markelov expressed confidence that the long-term and effective partnership between Gazprom and Petrovietnam will continue to develop, contributing to the strengthening of relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
