OREANDA-NEWS. Oleksiy Arestovich, a freelance adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, said that if the United States really wanted to protect Ukraine from Russia, they would not “drop it drop by drop”, but would have implemented a full-fledged military assistance program a few years ago. He told about this on the air of the UkrLife channel.

He noted that once the United States very quickly solved problems that were associated with Vietnam, South Korea, Japan and Afghanistan.

“With regard to Ukraine, we do not see them organizing assistance that would be guaranteed to remove the threat of Russian invasion,” Arestovich said.

According to the adviser to the President of Ukraine, at first the situation was impeded by the "deranged" Barack Obama with a just project of peace, which was later replaced by Donald Trump, who was trying to establish contact with "Mr. Putin." When Joe Biden came to the presidency of the United States, the States simply began to reassess their actions, Arestovich argues.

Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that the United States, during the talks held in Geneva, made it clear to Russia that it had no "voice" on the issue of Ukraine's NATO membership.
