OREANDA-NEWS  Annual inflation in Russia for the week from March 28 to April 3 slowed to 3.29% against 4.3% a week earlier. Weekly inflation was 0.13%, follows from the review of the Ministry of Economy "On the current price situation" (.pdf). The value of annual inflation has reached the lowest level since June 2020.

In the segment of food products, prices increased by 0.17% against 0.14% a week earlier. This happened as a result of the rise in price of fruit and vegetable products.

The dynamics of price growth for all products, except vegetables and fruits, amounted to 0.07% against 0.06% a week earlier. The cost of milk powder and canned vegetables for baby food increased by 0.5%, rice — by 0.4%, lamb, frozen fish, chicken eggs, cottage cheese — by 0.3%. Prices for buckwheat decreased by 0.7%, black tea — by 0.5%, pork — by 0.4%.

The cost of fruit and vegetable products increased by 1.3%. Prices for cucumbers increased by 6%, tomatoes — by 0.7%, apples — by 0.6%. The cost of onions decreased by 1%, beets — 0.8%, potatoes — 0.7%.

In the non-food segment, the price increase was 0.03% versus 0.01%. The cost of construction materials, electrical and household appliances continued to decline, the prices of passenger cars increased against the background of the rising cost of foreign brands. Prices in the service sector increased by 0.19% on the background of an increase in domestic flights and rising prices for household services.
