OREANDA-NEWS The volume of investments in the creation of year-round sea resorts in Russia will tentatively exceed 1 trillion rubles, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said during a meeting with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.

"The President of Russia has instructed to create new seaside resorts that will be able to accommodate up to 10 million people annually until 2035. The key issue is the construction of a modern tourist infrastructure. Currently, proposals have been formed for 10 investment projects to create such resorts in seven regions of Russia. The volume of investments is projected to amount to more than 1 trillion rubles, mainly extra-budgetary funds. Over 61 thousand new jobs will be created. Multiplier for these projects: for every ruble of federal funds invested, there are more than 10 rubles of extra-budgetary investments," said Chernyshenko, whose words are quoted in his office.

The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation Irek Fayzullin, Deputy Minister of Economic Development Dmitry Vakhrukov and Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services Yuri Gordeev. The participants of the event discussed the implementation of the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin to create year-round sea resorts in the country, the Deputy Prime Minister's office said.

The large-scale project "Five Seas and Lake Baikal" involves the construction of resorts on the Baltic, Azov, Black, Caspian and Japanese Seas. Four out of 10 projects are located in the south of Russia, they can be integrated into the overall development program of this macro-territory. Among the projects are "Primorsk" in the Zaporozhye region on the Sea of Azov, "Golden Sands", including the project "Family resorts. Crimean Riviera" in the Republic of Crimea, located on the Black Sea, and the megaproject "New Anapa" in the Krasnodar Territory, Chernyshenko's office reported.
