Inflation in Russia accelerated to 5.03 percent in annual terms

OREANDA-NEWS Inflation in Russia in annual terms accelerated to 5.03% on August 28 from 4.88% a week earlier, according to the review of the Ministry of Economic Development "On the current price situation".
"In the week from August 22 to 28, 2023, inflation slowed to 0.03% (0.09% in the week from August 15 to August 21, 2023). Year-on-year inflation was 5.03% after 4.88%," the document says.
The authors of the review indicate that in the segment of food products, prices have resumed rising - by 0.06% after a decrease of 0.02% a week earlier. At the same time, the decline in prices for fruit and vegetable products continued, but slowed down somewhat.
