OREANDA-NEWS Sber has confirmed its position in the ranking of the world's largest acquirers in terms of the number of transactions processed. According to The Nilson Report The 150 Largest Merchant Acquirers Worldwide, in 2022, Sber processed 42.1 billion transactions, ranking third in the world by this indicator. The bank's share among the world's top 150 acquirers was 9 percent.

During the year, the Sber Bank managed to reduce the gap with its closest competitor — FIS (WORLDPAY) — by half: from 6 to 3 percent.

At the same time, Sber showed the highest growth rates in the number of transactions among the leaders of the rating: +11 percent against 4 percent at JPMORGAN/CHASE and 8 percent at FIS (WORLDPAY).
