OREANDA-NEWS  The minimum amount that can be called savings in Russia is almost 500 thousand rubles, which approximately corresponds to the size of seven average monthly salaries, follows from the results of a monitoring survey on the financial situation of citizens and their financial goals conducted by the All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion (VTSIOM).

On average, Russians, answering the relevant question, called the amount of 499.2 thousand rubles with an average salary of slightly less than 71 thousand, according to Rosstat.

The size of the financial airbag, according to men, almost doubled the average minimum voiced by women — 691.1 thousand rubles against 365.4 thousand, the materials say. It also varies significantly among representatives of different age categories. Russians aged 35-44 turned out to be the most "demanding" (667.3 thousand rubles), young people under the age of 25 needed the least to save — 258 thousand.
