OREANDA-NEWS. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who was on a visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, received Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu at his residence.

The sides discussed the current state and prospects of development of the constructive interstate dialogue fostered in both bilateral and multilateral formats, including within the authoritative international organisations and regional institutions. The Turkmen leader and his guest focused on the huge potential for intensification of the mutually beneficial partnership in various spheres, including the trade, economy and energy spheres as well as transport and communication.

Humanitarian and cultural sphere was specified among the priority areas of cooperation. It was underlined the significance of fostering and enhancing the traditional ties in such areas as science, education and culture. It was noted that within the last years, the bilateral scientific, educational and cultural relations as well as exchange of experience have received a powerful incentive for development.

Upon concluding the meeting, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey expressed belief that Turkmen-Turkish relations would successfully develop for the benefit of the two friendly states and peoples.
