OREANDA-NEWS. The Moldovan government approved the withdrawal of Andrei Neguta from the post of the republic’s ambassador to Russia after the scandal with the smuggling of anabolic steroids. This was announced by Prime Minister Ion Chicu on December 9.

“On the initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Moldovan Ambassador to Russia Andrei Neguta was recalled from his post. This was the result of a shameful event, which was revealed a few days ago, it is obvious that the head of the mission is responsible for what happened,” RIA Novosti news agency quotes Chicu.

Earlier it became known that a car belonging to the Moldovan Embassy in Russia was stopped on December 6 at the Moldovan–Ukrainian border while trying to export a large consignment of anabolic steroids from the territory of Moldova.
