OREANDA-NEWS  According to the results of the first four months of 2024, the supply of Georgian wine to Russia has increased 1.9 times compared to the same period in 2023, reaching the level of 37.04 thousand tons, as reported by TASS, citing data from the National Statistics Service of Georgia.

In monetary terms, this figure has also almost doubled, from 52.3 million dollars to 99.5 million. In physical terms, supplies of Georgian wine have increased by 18 thousand tons, resulting in a share of 43.2% in the total structure of exports to Russia.

During the same period, Georgian exporters have also increased supplies of other products. The total volume of exports of mineral water and sugar-containing beverages from the country to Russia has grown by 11.4% and reached 70.9 thousand tons.According to the results for the first quarter, Georgian wine exports to Russia have increased by 74% year-on-year, reaching more than 24 thousand tons in volume. In monetary terms, this represents an increase from $38 million to $65 million.
