OREANDA-NEWS. The Government of the Russian Federation will provide a subsidy for the development and implementation of the cyber hygiene program within the framework of a competitive selection. This was reported to Interfax by the press service of Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko on Monday, November 15.

The draft rules for granting subsidies were published by the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation. The subsidy will be allocated based on the results of a competitive selection to a legal entity that has experience in implementing projects in the field of cyber hygiene. The winner of the competition will have to develop a plan for the implementation of the program until 2024.

The press service added that as part of the events in 2022, a service for improving cyber literacy for civil servants will be launched. The winner will also conduct a comprehensive information campaign aimed at various groups of the population.

The total coverage of the program in 2022 will be almost 8 million people, including more than 700 thousand civil servants. According to Chernyshenko, the new project is aimed at increasing the general level of awareness of citizens directly in matters of personal information security.

«The state will allocate 200 million rubles for the implementation of educational activities in 2022, a total of 600 million rubles ($2.7 million) will be allocated for these purposes until 2024», Chernyshenko is quoted as saying in the press service.

The event is being implemented within the framework of the federal project «Information Security» of the national program «Digital Economy».
