OREANDA-NEWS. The countries of West and South Africa are of great interest for Russian automakers, including the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant. It was stated by the director of export of UAZ, Andrey Dorofeev, within the framework of the conference "Russian Automotive Day", which was held on April 7th in Accra (Republic of Ghana), informs the press service of UAZ.

"According to our estimates, the total capacity of this region is 240,000 cars with a sales potential of 20-30 thousand cars for Russian companies. As perspective directions for development of export deliveries we consider first of all the Republic of Ghana, C?te d'Ivoire, Senegal and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, " - said Andrey Dorofeev.

It is worth noting that UAZ cars have long been known in African countries. From 1956 to 2015, more than 20,000 Ulyanovsk cars were delivered to this region. At the moment the company exports such cars as UAZ "Patriot", UAZ "Pickup", UAZ "Hunter" and commercial transport to such countries as Mali, Niger, Botswana, Liberia.

We also add that the next step in promoting the products of the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant in this region will be participation in the "Ghana Motor Show", which will be held in September of 2017.
