OREANDA-NEWS. "Total East", a subsidiary of the Total Group in Russia, begins the construction of a plant for the production, storage and shipment of motor oils and lubricants and related materials in the Kaluga region. The plant launch is scheduled for 2018. Agreement on cooperation in the sphere of realization of the investment project of construction of the future plant was signed by the Governor of Kaluga region Anatoly Artamonov and the CEO of "Total East" Fabien Voisin on October 17th.

As the press-service of "Total East" informed, the total investment will be $ 50 million. The production capacity of the plant at the beginning will be 40 thousand tons per year, and with the growth of sales volume it may be increased to 75 thousand tons. The plant will produce a wide range of lubricants for the automotive industry and for other industries (energy, iron and steel, mining, etc.): line of oils «Quartz» for passenger cars, oils, gamma engine of oils «Rubia», hydraulic type of oil «Azolla» and «Equivis», industrial oils types «Seriola» and «Carter», as well as the line of lubricants «fuel Economy», allowing to reduce significantly the fuel consumption as a cargo and passenger transport, so a special off-road equipment.

"Total" plant will be located in an area of 7 hectares in the Freight Village Vorsino that has developed infrastructure of roads and railways, which will ensure the supply of lubricants not only to the Russian market, but also for export, for example, in Central Asia and Belarus.
