OREANDA-NEWS. On March 29, 2007 the Gazprom Headquarters has hosted a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Oleg Betin, Governor of the Tambov Oblast, reported the press-centre of  Gazprom. The parties addressed the implementation of the Agreement of Cooperation between Gazprom and the Tambov Oblast, placing a focus on the regional gasification program execution results for 2006 and projections for 2007.

The Agreement of Cooperation and the Accord on Gasification between Gazprom and the Tambov Regional Administration were signed in April 2004 and April 2003, respectively.
In 2006 Gazprom supplied the region with nearly 1,8 bcm of gas and roughly the same volume is slated for this year;
The Tambov Oblast is currently gasified by 56,3% including 77,8% in cities and towns, and 31,1% in rural area. The identical figures throughout Russia average 54,61 and 36%, respectively;
Under the Gasification Program for Russian Federation Regions over 2005 to 2007, Gazprom plans to commit RUR 587,32 mln to construct gas distribution networks in the Tambov Oblast. In 2006 the region saw the commissioning of 10 Gazprom-funded local gas pipelines with a total length of 44,7 km;
Over 2005 to 2007, the Tambov Regional Administration plans, on its part, to build 217,8 km of local gas pipelines, convert to natural gas 26 heating plants and gasify 6,171 households, with a total of RUR 320,8 mln to be committed for these purposes.
