OREANDA-NEWS. On April 28, 2007 Rosatom has set up a Venture Fund Managing Company on the basis of Atom-Innovation Center. The Atom-Innovation Managing Company is supposed to exercise control over Rosatom’s Venture Fund with a view to develop the venture businesses set up on the basis of Rosatom’s prospective civil innovative projects or providing Rosatom with technologies, products and services. Marat Mulyukov has been appointed as the director of the company. The Fund will be financed by Russian Venture Company and non-budgetary sources, reported the press-centre of Atom-Innovation Center.
The priority directions are technologies, products and services of the oil and gas complex, ecology, water treatment, electronics, safety, power engineering, high-tech medical equipment, new materials and nano-technologies.
Mulyukov says that presently they are selecting venture projects with a view to form a pool of potential beneficiaries. Big events like the recent Fair of Innovative Projects for NPP-2006 and New Technological Platform and the forthcoming 2nd Innovative Forum of Nuclear Power Engineering (June 26 2007), will certainly help the Company in the selection.
And so, the Organizational Committee of the 2nd Innovative Forum and the Managing Company have decided to consider the applicant projects as potential pretenders for receiving financing under the Venture Fund.
The application deadline is May 15.
