OREANDA-NEWS. Atomstroyexport and Stroytransgaz have signed a memorandum on cooperation in the electric energy sector. Atomstroyexport and Stroytransgaz companies have formed a strategic alliance with a view to ensure stable activities on the Russian market and active involvement in the federal nuclear energy development program.

During a meeting in Moscow on May 18 2007 President of ASE Sergey Shmatko and President of STG Victor Lorents signed a memorandum on cooperation in the electric energy sector.

The memorandum specifies the key principles of the companies’ cooperation aimed at uniting their technical and human resources, knowledge and experience and consolidating their assets towards specific ends.

The new alliance will use the huge experience and resources of the companies with a view to implement the current tasks for developing the nuclear power industry of Russia and building an efficient system of NPP construction projects management in Russia and abroad. In fact, it will produce a synergy effect and will help the companies to successfully implement their energy projects.

On May 21 2007 ASE and STG agreed to establish a consortium that will ensure their participation in the construction of new NPP units in Russia.

The alliance will contribute to the implementation of the nuclear energy development program and will help the Russian companies to further increase their share in the world NPP construction market.

Atomstroyexport continues its alliance-making strategy aimed at fostering innovative solutions to NPP construction management and at enhancing their efficiency.
