OREANDA-NEWS. During the first four months of the current year National Company “KazMunayGas” has noticeably increased the volumes of oil production and transportation.

In January-April, 2007 the production volume of oil and gas condensate for JSC NC “KazMunayGas” group of companies amounted to 5 mln. 435 thousand tons. This is by 2,9% more than for the same period of the last year. In 2007, production of oil and gas condensate is planned in the amount of 17 mln. 272 thousand tons.

The volume of oil refinement at the Atyrau Refinery versus the same period of 2006 declined by 5,7% and amounted to 1 mln. 085 thousand tons. The fall in the volumes of oil refinement is connected with overstocking of the tank farm in LLP "Atyrau Refinery”. A total of 3 mln. 700 thousand tons of feedstock are planned to be refined at this plant in 2007.

14 mln. 894 thousand tons of oil has been transported along the system of main pipelines of JSC “KazTransOil”, i.e. by 8,8% higher than the same indicator for the corresponding period of 2006. It is planned that during 2007, the volume of oil transportation shall amount to the total of 43 mln. 325 thousand tons.

Along the main gas pipelines of JSC “Intergas Central Asia” 39,9 bln. cub. m. of gas have been transported. This is slightly lower than the same indicator of the last year (by 7,4%) and is conditioned by the reduction in the volume of gas transportation for the international transit traffic, due to reduction of gas supply from the fields of Turkmenistan, and reduction on the Russian direction of transit traffic. Plan for gas transportation for 2007 is 124,8 bln. cub. m.

Compared to the same period of the last year, the consolidated revenues of JSC NC “KazMunayGas” have increased by 1,6% and amounted to KZT330,4 bln.

The Company implements an active investment policy. In January-April of 2007, the capex out of the own funds amounted to KZT38 bln. Their major part - KZT37,1 bln. - has been directed to production operations.

With account of the subsidiaries and dependent organizations, JSC NC “KazMunayGas” has contributed KZT66.17 bln. into the budget of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the form of taxes and payments, which is by 29,1% lower than that in January-April of 2006. The reduction is conditioned by a change in the ROK’s tax legislation starting from January 1, 2007.
