OREANDA-NEWS. On May 28, 2007 a strategic dialogue on development perspectives of ROSNO’s Western Siberian Directorate in 2007-2009 took place in Tyumen, as part of the annual events designed for strategic planning of the company’s regional development, reported the press-centre of  ROSNO.

This event was presided by Mr. Andrei Skvortsov, ROSNO’s Deputy General Manager and Financial Director, and Mr. Maxim Chernin, ROSNO’s Deputy General Manager.

In his report, Mr. Alexei Rozhnev, head of the Western Siberian Directorate, summed up the results of the year 2006 and presented to the strategic dialogue participants the company’s regional development strategy for 2007-2009.

In 2006, ROSNO’s Western Siberian Directorate collected 489,696 mln. roubles of insurance premium (excl. OMI), which represents 217% of the year 2005 result. Premium collected from the obligatory motor third party liability insurance has grown by 84%, equaling 197,170 mln. roubles, from personal insurance — by 377% to 129,734 mln. roubles, and from property insurance — by 85% to 155,747 mln. roubles.

During the last year, ROSNO’s Western Siberian Directorate concluded over 132 thousand contracts, settled 10415 insured accidents, and grew the total amount of payments 2.9 times vs. the previous year, to 258 mln. roubles. Among the Directorate’s major last-year achievements noted by Mr. Alexei Rozhnev has also been the opening of a new branch in Yamal and becoming one of the top three regional insurers.

The Directorate’s main strategic goals and objectives for 2007 to 2009 are: annual growth rate above average, simultaneous profit growth through portfolio diversification, and active development of the Western Siberian Directorate’s branches in the following cities: Surgut, Nizhnevartovsk, and Noyabrsk.

ROSNO’s strategy in Western Siberia is in line with the company’s uniform regional policy focused on entering the top-three insurers and taking leading positions in the target insurance market segments.
