OREANDA-NEWS. On July 19, 2007 the international Rating Agency FitchRatings raised TBC Bank’s ratings up to two  levels and received "B+” category, reported the press-centre of TBC.

Fitch claims that TBC Bank plays a significant role in the development of Georgian Banking System. This high evaluation reflects gradually improving operating environment and expanding funding profiles of the bank. In Fitch’s view, TBC Bank has significant   function in the   local banking sector because of its systemic importance in the national banking sector. This high evaluation reflects the gradually improving operating environment and expanding franchise and scale and improving funding profiles of the bank, as well as the growing trend of  the Georgian banking sector development.

FitchRatings upgraded TBC Bank’s rating in the following categories:
Banks’ ratings at Issuer Default raised from ,,B-“ to ,,B+”
Support raised from ,,5’’ to ,,4’’
Short-term "B"
Individual "D"
