OREANDA-NEWS. September 4, 2007. The staff of the oldest gas enterprise in the city of Chelyabinsk, OJSC Chelyabinskgorgaz (a subdivision of the Gazeks gas holding company), is accepting compliments on occasion of Oil and Gas Industry Worker's Day. On this occasion, the Ministry of Industry and Energy of the Russian Federation has awarded the best workers of the company with letters of commendation:  underground gas pipeline maintenance and repair mechanics Messrs Naпl G. Aminev and Victor A. Ksenofontov, emergency recovery mechanic Mr Valentine G. Goncharov, emergency service technician Ms Galina P. Onishchenko, and technical control group head Ms Tatiana A. Baranova. Besides, Industry and Energy Minister Victor Khristenko highly valued the professionalism of OJSC Chelyabinskgorgaz workers and their contribution to the cause of ensuring reliable and safe gas supply for Chelyabinsk.  

Also, 14 workers of the enterprise for years of conscientious work were honoured with letters of commendation and appreciation of Chelyabinsk Regional Governor Piotr Sumin.  All these awards will be handed to the recipients at a ceremonial meeting of the staff on 31 August.
Also, the laureates of the Chelyabinskgorgaz Honorary Worker title will be announced today. This title was first instituted last year and is conferred on those who make a significant contribution to the development of the company. Therefore, title laureates will also include veterans who are already retired.  This year, the title has been conferred on Mr Gennady P. Nadymov who worked as a gas equipment maintenance mechanic and then as an emergency recovery mechanic during 41 years and on Ms Vera V. Markina, head of the group for occupational safety and health and technical training. She worked in the gas sector during 39 years.  Staff members value them not only as first-class specialists, but also as mentors who competently pass their knowledge and experience to their younger colleagues.
