OREANDA-NEWS. October 18, 2007. A literary and musical event dedicated to awarding of the Republican literary prizes and scholarships named after Sazhida Suleymanova instituted by OAO Tatneft in 2006 was held at the Almetyevsk Drama Theatre on  October 12. It was attended by prominent figures of literature and arts.

Rustam Muhamadeev, Deputy General Director of OAO "Tatneft" and President of the Rukhiyat Revival Foundation noted in his speech that institution of the prize and named scholarships is a tribute to the memory of the talented poetess. Rishat Abubakirov, Head of Almetyevsk Municipal Area and Ilfak Ibragimov, Chairman of the Writers' Union and the Republic of Tatarstan thanked Tatneft Company for the enormous contribution to the development of literature and art. As a sign of gratitude the Writers' Union of the Republic nominated Shafagat Takhautdinov, General Director of Tatneft Company, as its honorary member.

In accordance with the decision of the Writers' Union of the Republic of Tatarstan and OAO Tatneft Clara Bulatova, the poetess from the city of Almetyevsk, Albert Khassanov, the writer from the town of Leninogorsk and  Ranif Sharipov, the poet from Kazan, were nominated the 2007 Prize winners.

Fayruza Ismagilova from Aznakaevo Region as well as Fayruza Muslimova and Louise Sharova (Louise Yansuar), poetesses from Kazan, were awarded encouragement prizes.

Additionally the scholarships named after Sazhida Suleymanova were awarded to ten students who made significant progress in the field of literary creative work. The above mentioned students are  Liliya Gibadullina, Yulduz Minnullina, Alina Bikmullina, Rifat Salakhov, Dilyara Kharissova, Olga Fyodorova (they are all students of KGU - Kazan State University), Alena Karimova, a well known poetess and translator from Kazan, who joined the Higher literary course with the Literary Institute named after M. Gorky, Andrei Groman (Almetyevsk branch of the Institute of Economics, Management and Law), Dmitry Leushin (AGNI - Almetyevsk Petroleum Institute), Alsu Vasikova (Leninogorsk Musical Teachers' College).
