OREANDA-NEWS. November 28, 2007. The construction of the largest in the region KAMAZ service center is nearing completion in Ashkhabad. It was started in May when Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, visited Turkmenistan.

The project in the value of 5 million dollars by order and of the means of the Russian producer is constructed by Turkmen builders. The service center embraces an area of 2 hectares and is intended for all-inclusive service of 1000 KAMAZ vehicles annually. The service center will consist of office and educational buildings, a shop, an engineering building, a storehouse, a car wash and works. More than 100 people will work and study at the start-up shop. That’s why a medical center, a kitchen and a dining hall are provided in the administrative building besides offices and two classrooms.

During the last two years about 1,5 thousand new KAMAZ vehicles have been delivered in Turkmenistan, and the total fleet of KAMAZ vehicles in the country makes up almost 10 thousand. The service center will carry out capital repairs, seasonal preparation and diagnostics of automobiles, training and retraining of mechanics and drivers, sale of new equipment and spare parts. The experts of the service station will control the condition and the right operation of the delivered equipment, and mobile teams will carry out repairs in all regions of Turkmenistan.

Within the bounds of the long-term equipment supply agreement Turkmenistan purchases at KAMAZ Inc. brand-new models of trucks of different payload (generally, dump trucks). The Russian automobile plant also offers vehicles meant for freighting of various cargoes, special equipment (hydraulic hoists, autocranes, etc.) on the basis of KAMAZ chassis, and, besides, NEFAZ buses. It’s significant to note that vehicles of all classes are made of unified parts. It makes their service easier. As to new models of engines, they meet all economy and environmental safety requirements of the European Union.
