OREANDA-NEWS. December 06, 2007. Responding to the changes in the Lithuanian money market, DnB NORD Bankas will pay higher interest for litas and euro deposits starting 7th of December, reported the press-centre of DnB NORD Bankas.

Deposits in litas placed via internet will enjoy the highest interest increase – the average rate will go up by 0,65 percentage point on average.

Starting Friday DnB NORD Bankas interest for term, cumulative and universal deposits in litas will increase by 0,45 percentage point on average, e.g. the interest for one-year term deposits in litas will increase from to 5,45 percent from 5,00 percent. The rate for a similar deposit placed via DnB NORD Internet Banking system will go up to 5,65 percent.

DnB NORD Bankas will also pay 0,1 percentage point higher interest for deposits in Euros on average. Similar deposits placed via internet will bear yet 0,2 percentages point higher interest, so the rate for one-year term deposit in Euros in DnB NORD bankas will increase to 4,0 percent.

Reflecting gradually decreasing US dollar rates on international markets, DnB NORD Bankas will also scale down US dollar deposit rates by 0,3 percentage points on average starting 7th December.
